You can always predict the next move from a mile away, yet this board continues to act like it’s some complex algorithm. I’m betting the film is paired with a direct teaser for said Gen 2 remakes; before covid, the film was supposed to come out right around the time of the Pokemon directs. With the unsubtle Johto shit in the background and the overwhelming feeling that something was missing, maybe they were planning to talk more about that but couldn’t with the movie being delayed. They’re religious about relegating teasers like that to the movies, it’s doubtful they would’ve separated it from the movie to show it during the direct. Again, you can read Pokemon from a mile away.
