Holy shit Im just learning now how shit grass type is in Jhoto. I'm playing storm silver and i got Treecko as my 5th team member. I was just going to have him on my team until I get Heracross but I'm having such a hard time using him. He's a Grovyle now but he's so useless, he feels like dead weight.

between Team Aqua, Juan, and Wallace, the endgame is dominated by water types
rock and ground types have the same issue, and ice types are always bad

Fire is not that great but when combined with Fighting and Blaziken's stats it's a great offensive combo. Blaziken's only problem is that it is very frail. It can OHKO so many almost everything but it can only take a couple of hits. Swampert has a better attacking and defensive typing. It's only problem is its speed but in regular gameplay and with it's bulk and typing it doesn't matter.

I remember playing the game for 15 minutes a day back when I was a kid and even days were bug catching days, I almost never won any but that's where I got my shiny Beedrill.
I only started winning when I went in with my lv 100 starter, since I couldn't attack the scythers
I had a collection of Sunfloras and my last play was catching and evolving a Sunkern after a contest. That's before the savestate got corrupted.

That's just, like, your opinion.

Honestly though, I think that water routes are fine, just that they can be a little fatiguing since many of them don't have a lot of features, and there usually isn't much traveling on them that you can do that isn't constantly threatening you with an encounter.

Because's that's essentially what Hoenn's water routes are. It's objectively bad.

Sounds like Galar, seriously how many galar pokemon do you run into over something from the previous 7 gens? Even most of the aces in the game are non-galar native pokemon and even then Galar pokemon are shit most of them are crappy mono types

You can't even get a leaf stone from the contest until the post game,and that's only in HGSS. In GSC, you can ONLY get a Sun stone, not any others.

I think Galar is actually better than Alola and definitely better than Kalos. Kalos shoves all its new stuff early so there's barely anything later. Alola fills the game with Gumshoos/A-Raticate/Pelipper while most of the rest is rare. At least most of Galar's routes have a pretty good selection of new Pokemon. Besides the Wild Area Galar Pokemon seem to be more common than other stuff.
