SwSh shows that GF already is putting all those issues into a game thats not even open world (the one saving grace admittedly that you can't catch a level 60 tyranitar before the 1st gym or whatever), we don't need an actual open world game, a strong mostly linear game structure with maybe a few branching paths in terms of gyms/things to do and actual levels to explore is far, far better
