>>44502459I grew up on gen-1 and gen-2. Dark was gen-2's equivalent of the Fairy type, made to balance the broken Psychics. Just remember that Dark was strong against the best types (Psychic, Ghost, and itself), and weak against the bad types (Bug and Fighting. Fighting was notoriously shitty back in the day).
Also, Hydreigon wasn't that tough, I seem to remember I had my Samurott use Blizzard on it and it went right down.
