Physical characteristic types would be like Bug, Dragon, Fairy and Normal (since you can't really have "control" over normal). Most of them fall into the category of control over elemental powers, at least usually. Like most Fire-types have control over Fire to some degree, but some are literally just on fire. Rock types are usually just literally made of rocks, but some just have elemental control over rocks. And I gave the Water type example above.
