the starters will be 50/50 male or female and have gender based final evolutions with different names, appearances, abilities, stats, movepools, and types. so the first 12 pokedex slots will be starters instead of 9.
water starter is a snake, fire starter is a calf that becomes a cow or bull, grass starter is a dog/wolf
m: water/fighting serpent with dragon-esque arms, fire/steel quadruped bull with fiery eyes and huge steel horns, grass/dark werewolf
f: water/flying elegant dragon serpent, fire/ground bipedal cow, grass/fairy mother wolf that kind of looks like okami’s amaterasu and is based on the lupa capitolina
the new gimmick is like a more complex mega evolution mixed with dynamax and z-moves, possibly as a vehicle to bring all mechanics back later on. all the starters receive and share one of these forms. they become: water/dragon, fire/fighting, and grass/psychic
more new but mostly old pokemon receive these new forms, no mon with a g-max or mega receives one except the variant kanto starters
regional variants return and there are actually variants of the kanto starters this time around, and you get to pick one to accompany you. fighting/poison bulbasaur, psychic squirtle becoming psychic/steel, fighting charmander becoming fighting/flying. they all keep their names
gyms are gone again and the region is a modernized fusion of three ancient civilizations, with a 4th one as bonus content/dlc
don’t forget me bros, i’ve had a lot of fun observing this board and casually making comments over the years, this is my big turn to prophet in the last stages of my life. there’s no proof i could give that wouldn’t get this thread 404’d and me into trouble while i’m already living in pain, everyone will see soon enough
