Why do I see some anons praising the Gen 5 or 7 stories? Are they actually decent?

Gen 5 has a... Passable story mode. I mean everything is obvious if you have a brain but the structure works. Gen 7 seems more like a fanfic... Which is still better than what usually happens in pokemon games.

gen 7 is really good, gen 5 wasn't...until we got swsh, that game made me appreciate how much effort they put into gen 5 even if it's still inferior to other gens especially swsh. The story is the main focus of it.
