It's pointless to rank items that are specific to certain movesets or Pokémon (such as Light Clay, Eviolite and Black Sludge) so they're not featured.

i dont think its that simple, you placed scarf in S and berries in B but a scarf on a terribly slow mon wont accomplish much and the berries wont be much help if you can just be oneshot (unless sub-shenanigans), besides light clay is based and i hate you for not adding it

Are you fucking stupid? Light Clay is a binary item because it benefits a Pokémon with Reflect and/or Light Screen, and does absolutely nothing otherwise. It's not a matter of liking the item or not, it's not a tier list based on fondness. It's just pointless to rank because of how specialized it is.
All the items in the list are generalist items that can benefit nearly any Pokémon, albeit to various degrees and with many item/Pokémon combinations outclassed by another.

eviolite is useful for such a broad range though not just one type or barrier user. also im personally fond of the shell bell, red card and eject button but they aren't for every one.

Life Orb and Focus Sash should be S tier, since they're both amazing in both VGC and Singles. In fact I would say even if you completely dominate one format like Leftovers, or WP, if you're not as common in the other it already prevents you from being S tier.
