I prefer the PMD games over the mainline games because the pokemon can speak and have personalities. The pokemon in the mainline games just aren't as memorable.

Two days ago I bought PMD DX and I have fallen in love with PMD again, not a single mainline game is half as good as this, DX adds so much to the original games while still keeping most of their quirks, now as an adult i can admire the game for everything it has like it's level scaling and post game, if we get an EOS remake of the same quality as this I'll do anything I can to get ahold of it

Sure. I can care about the humans sometimes. In Black/White, watching Bianca get scolded by her dad made me feel bad for her.

But in mainline games, they don't get me that emotionally invested in the pokemon themselves. At least not to the same degree as PMD characters, where it was gutwrenching to see your partner cry and plead as you disappeared.

I'm trying to write a PMD fanfiction about a girl, turned into a Riolu(can't decide if it's by a crime boss or a dictator, in which case, it was her 'execution') who comes across a Blaziken who was also human and he helps her learn how to be a pokemon.

Of course, she initially refuses and tries to make it on her own...to which she has little luck...(she actually didn't even know what pokemon she was.)

She eventually comes across a Charmander, Meinfoo, Inkay, and a Fomantis who are looking for humans. The last of which was seen ten years prior in 'The Chaos' the town in which they live in is inhabited by pokemon whose trainers died during said chaos

Honestly in terms of uniqueness and appeal, mainline Pokemon is better in that department. The concept of creatures of both fantasy and sci-fi co-existing in a modern day setting with people is way more unique than the cliched animalistic characters in a fantasy setting, with the whole human isekai part probably being the most unique part but rarely matters in the grand scheme of things.
But both are pretty shitty game series

PMD DX is a good remake. I've been playing Blue rescue team on and off for a few years and trying to recruit deoxys is a nightmare. I watched a playthrough of the remake recently and I'm very glad chunsoft fixed a lot of the shit people just wouldn't bother with if they weren't a completionist.

I don't know, apart from hideous starters i liked most of the galar dex, ayylmao hatterene, cool/cute milf dragon, edgy armored raven, all solid designs. Even retarded sword doggo is great if you don't take her seriously.
