This is true, but there are various ways to play the game that make for different experiences too. Especially now, the game gives you every opportunity to make good on that "catching and training lots of different creatures" angle that is kind of a main concept in Pokemon, but that a lot of people kind of ignore.

Why would I swap out my Pokemon if my party is not only capable of handling anything thrown at me, but outright demolishes the opposition? Hell, for the first two decades, the biggest hurdle when it came to team-building was deciding on a random shitmon and stuffing as many HMs onto it as possible. Since HMs are no longer necessary, there is literally zero excuse for the mainline games to be so braindead easy.

Magnezone unironically destroys every game he is allowed to be in since 4th Gen allowed him to discharge.
Even in Gen3 Spark and Shockwave were already pushing it and gen6 onwards gave it Electroball earlier than discharge making it reliable at earlier levels.

It's just unreal that the only game with hard stops for the Magnezone rape train are Clay, Ghetsis and maybe Totem Salazzle/Hapu.

I might raise the point that only Graveler, GS Magmar and Alolan Grimer are this powerful as early mons, maybe Tsareena and Mudsdale but they do require some leveling to be broken Magneton/Grimmer are just bonkers straight out the bat like blue Sandslash.
