I try to initiate battles by talking to the trainer whenever possible. I don't like feeling like I've been ambushed. Yes, I'll fight you... but on MY own terms.

In what ways are you autistic /vp/?

Natures must be at least decently helpful (Id settle for stuff like Lonely Rash or Hasty for ex) or I wont use something, even in a casual baby mode RPG like Pokemon

I know this is common but I'm very autistic about keeping my team evenly leveled, I'll go to pretty much any lengths short of losing a battle to make sure that one Pokemon that's 1 level higher than the rest doesn't hog anymore EXP.

I must make sure that my Pokemon team has a diverse colour scheme and that each pokemon has a slightly different design, I also can't have too many pokemon from the same Gen in one team if I have the choice, if I try to break away from this routine it makes the game literally unplayable for my autistic mind.

I try to have at least 9 different STABs in my team. Usually it's 10 or 11. Sometimes I get lucky and have 12, but having a team that diverse with good balance is tough in some games.

I also try not to repeat stabs or types throughout my team. Having Heatran Scizor and Empoleon feel wrong unless Im explicitly doing a typerun.

I assign a team to every protagonist, made up of my favorite pokémon from their games, and only use those pokemon whenever I play a game with those characters.

They also always have the same nicknames. For example, when I played Gold I used an Ampharos and named it Lyon, so in HeartGold I played as Ethan and also used an Ampharos with the same name. But in Crystal and SoulSilver I used different teams for Kris and Lyra.

For the first two gens I only played Red and Gold as a kid. For the others, I bought one of the paired versions and later the third version. Only ones I bought both versions were HGSS, BW and BW2.
It was actually thanks to Gen 5 that this autism started, because it had so many protagonists and I wanted to play with all of them without using the same pokémon. In HG I was just doing it for nostalgia.
But eventually I played all mainline games on emulators, except Y, Sun, LGPE and Shield, so Calem, Victor and the Let's Go kids got cucked out of a team.

All of my pokemon that were ever team members (even if i dropped them or they die in a nuzlocke) must eventually be transferred to pokemon home. I have over 7 boxes of pokemon called "oaks lab" where all my pokemon are arranged by teams in rows of 6 with an overflow box for pokemon that are extra from each game, or teams that are incomplete because i lost those pokemon before i started doing this. I'm continually haunted by certain missing Pokémon though so I've been doing remake playthroughs of lost teams in addition to the teams I've been doing anyways. I also like themed playthroughs, like playing yellow with reds team. Also, unless it's a themed or remake playthrough, i try to avoid using the same pokemon twice, even if its a starter (with some exceptions).

First you autistically find a mon with one 31iv in the wild with the help of IV calculators like http://www.psypokes.com/dex/iv.php and the characteristic tip. Then you do the same for another mon with the other stat, then you breed them together for 10 years until you get an offspring with both stats.

I think ever since gen 3 or something you inherit 3 random IVs from the parents so all you need to do is wait until it happens to pick the right ones..

I wont use two different pokemon that have "similar" types on an ingame team. Like if I chose the grass starter, I wont be using anything that is part or pure bug. Rock/ground, ice/water, psychic/ghost/dark, and normal/fighting are other examples. Most of these types dont share common weaknesses but for some reason they seem too similar to me.

It's not a big priority, but I've been making a living dex for the last two generations.
But only of mons that I have caught myself (that I am the OT).
Main problem is I know of one person with another game for trades. It made me enjoy the wild area a lot more than I should have.
