>>44521698Cinderace. It used to be Shaymin due to how obnoxious it is to fight and how it was an absolute ungrateful jackass in the movie, but at least I can avoid fighting it on cart. Cinderace is crammed down my throat and it just fucking obnoxious, and due to Dynamax it's even more fucking irritating to fight than the dick who has a 120bp STAB move with an 80% chance to cut your sp.def in half and another STAB move with a 60% chance to make you lose your turn. Also it's fucking everywhere, and the developer favoritism it got is just insulting. Even if you DO like Cinderace, crippling the other two starters just to make it look better by comparison due to how fucking broken it is is just disgusting. It's personality also comes across as forced and shallow. I've never been a fan of those obnoxious in-your-face "I'M THE BEST WHO EVER LIVED!!" mascot types of characters, it just comes across as narcissistic to me. And there's no pokemon that embodies this personality to me greater than Cinderace.
This has nothing to do with it's design; I couldn't give a rats ass if Cinderace has the best design in the series or worst design in the series (and trust me it is far, far, far from the worst). I hate everything else about it so much that it would still be the worst pokemon to me even if it's design was perfection incarnate. He's just obnoxiously smug and arrogant, gets handed everything because he's the developer's favorite of the gen, he's busted as hell with or without dynamax (but especially with it, since he will solo teams if you don't run pokemon specifically built just to beat him), and he's everywhere to the point that it feels like he's being forced down my throat until the dev team MAKES me love him.
It's ability doesn't even make any fucking sense. A Libero is just a player in soccer to sweeps up the ball if it breaches the defensive line iirc. How the fuck does being the defensive player let him change his fucking type?
