It had nothing that mattered to me of the series, showed little improvement over the formula, showed serious downgrades on the formula and not even any graphics or gameplay smoothness improvements that may have been brought by having the games on better hardware.
I have no desire to spend $60 on a lackluster game that just seemed like more or less the same kind of feel as Gen 7, just so that I would have to spend more on a complete edition or now DLC so that I could get the completed lackluster experience a year or so later.
All for me to do what with? Store my Pokemon in a storage service that costs 3x the amount as before? For what? So that I can't even use them the next game?
I never even had the desire to pirate the game. I very well can, since I have a hacked Switch but again I just don't want to play it.
I think I'm just done with the main series now. I'll play romhacks and replay the old games if I feel like it.
