Change the first line's tail into a hook or something to make it less generic and seperate the third stage from the line and mayybe. As it is only the second form looks any good.

It starts as a little molamola shaped like a buoy, then it becomes a shark with an anchor body, then it's a deep sea gulper eel.

The line's theme is that it gets deeper and deeper into the water.

That would be cool. Maybe the full moon cat can be a Siamese with reverse colors so that the facial marking is a yellow circle to resemble the moon, which can glow to spook people at night, while the rest of its body is pitch black.
