Rhyperior has great stats on the top and shit stats on the bottom.
Shuckle's 2 good stats are more evenly spaced out.

Minmaxing would be dropping SpAtk and Speed to 1 point and putting those points into other stats (especially SpDef).
Since Rhyperior won't be using special attacks anyway and 40 speed might as well be 1 speed. In fact, 1 speed is arguably better than 40 speed because of Trick Room and because 40 is so slow that it won't be outspeeding much of anything anyway.

Sinnoh's fossils are like it to. Bastiodon is all amazing defenses and nothing else, while Rampardos has decent HP and incredible attack, but is super fragile and slow, albeit it's still faster than Cacturne.

Oh right, missed that, they're all shit defensively and Cacturne's Grass/Dark isn't that good offensively. Plus Cacturne's moveset leans towards status and support like Leech Seed, Ingrain, Spikes, Spiky Shield, Cotton Spore while its stats are all offense.

This thread makes me think, how indeed does one solve the "Slow Frail Mixed Attacker" problem, or to be more specific, the fact the majority of pokemon only use one attack stat. What's the effective difference between a physical attacker with 35 SpAtk vs one with 40 SpAtk? How do you make a usable mixed attacker when actually giving it decent speed or defenses makes it overpowered?
