Why does Erkia ban boys from her gym? Why is she even allowed to ban boys from her gym? Shouldn't there be more girls in the league because her gym gatekeeps against boys?

She didn't allow Ash in her gym because he insulted her perfume, not because he was a boy.
Brock was allowed in the gym, and one of Gary's 10 badges was a Rainbowbadge, so he battled her for sure.
At most, she doesn't allow boys to become gym trainers, but she still lets them enter, challenge her, and get the badge.

Not true. Her staff wouldn't let him in. She personally had nothing to do with it.

We've seen more evidence of things like >>44533734 in Masters as well. Other girls admire Erika and tend to flock around her. And they get really protective of her, which makes sense when you remember the old lech looking at all of the girls through the gym window. Erika has no problem taking your challenge, it's everyone else that's concerned about whether it's safe to let you in.
