They make clones soon after or even in the same Gen all the time. Look at Queenly Magesty/Dazzling and Power of Alchemy/Receiver.

It can provide an interesting combo of toxic thread + Venoshock for Ariados in lower tiers, however that really the only interesting thing I can see it doing.

On top of this, only THREE (3) grass types learn this move (Tapu Bulu, Paras and Cacnea, the latter two being egg moves)
