I just tried Light Platinum and Reborn, and both have absolutely cringe writing. Are there any fan games out there that don't use broken English or lecture the player on nonbinary pronouns?

Sun/Moon have pretty good writing from what I've heard
Sword and Shield from the same fangame maker didn't have very good writing, sadly

People who finish their fangame are either autistic or teens with too much free time. Expect anything but got writing from a pokémon fangame.
A normal person realizes they could make their own game and profit from it with the amount of time a pokémon fangame requires.

Why don't you try Pokemon Mitic Island or Pokémon Flora Sky. I played those like 10 years ago but I don't remember them being cringe.

Just do randomizers if you want to switch it up, fan games don't have good story. If you really need a good, complete fan game, Pokemon Sweet. It changes up the game enough to be unique, and it doesn't put a focus on story so you don't have to worry about the writing being shit.

It's shit for a video game, but mediocre overall. Gamefreak uses complete sentences, no speaky de broken engrish, and doesn't ask if you're a boy, girl or non-binary. It's good enough, and I'm not asking for Shakespeare.

You should look for them by yourself, dude. I don't remember if Flora Sky is good or not but old hacks were made before being PC became trendy so it's something.
There's a lot of hacks just avoid Dark Rising series, Mega Power series and Reborn.
