If you're still ignoring the fact the amount of time needed to work on the models was impacting the development of the games, you were an actual child during Gen VI and VII, because for all the hardships they supposedly had making those games, there's fuck all in-game that stands out as an actual issue to making the games better, when you discount the models and the amount of time they needed to get them working in-game.
