Because every alt in Masters gets a Pokémon from outside of their debut generation. Brock has Tyranitar, Elesa has Rotom, Grimsley has Sharpedo, etc.

What I was thinking. In the rematch she'd either have both it and Gar or just temp. have Gar take a vacation.

Cyrus having Palkia is also not "out there" bc he fabricated the Red-Chain in order to properly control it without diminishing its powers in a Pokeball. I think it's going to be like is when Ghetsis had B/W Kyurem under his control and functioning as an "unofficial" team member.

I'd honestly prefer having a "boss battle" with some enraged god form of Dialga/Palkia that isn't caught, and then returning to catch the normal ones later.
