Which means it will be huge? I remember these "no one is talking about it" posts here on /vp/ after GO and people here talking about how no one cared about GO at E3 2016 (pic related). Then look what happened not even one full month later when GO launched in early July 2016.

If it was for PC as well it could have a really well staying power, most of people who plays battle royal / moba prefers to play in PC. The only mistake is having it just in Switch and phone. There are people who play to this genre in these platforms, but not that much.

Nobody likes mobas anymore. Dota 2 has been on the decline for a while. League is kept alive the same way as WOW, by existing as a partial social platform and by virtue of being a game in which people have already invested a shitload of time and see no reason to quit. But the model itself is something that a lot of people are beginning to realize is not fun. It comes with a certain measure of abusiveness and you're beholden to the performance of strangers to get the full experience. It'll move units because it's pokemon and because this kind of game probably has pull in asia but I don't see why anyone on this board would care.
