Charizard could just focus blast. Clean 2HKO with a good shot of OHKO with sun up.

Charizard being forced into a 50/50 every turn instead of just being able to kill every thing with a fire move is enough for it to become much more manageable.
Pair Heatran with something like pex to scout and dealing with Charizard would be trivial.

I was thinking of pioneering a Life Orb set to lure heatran.
It switches in on a fire move to get the flash fire boost, doesnt see any life orb recoil and stays in, and then gets OHKO'd by LO Sands
