SCENARIO: You are whisked away into the world of Pokémon, either at your current age or regressed into the body of a young girl/boy - whatever you want, since this is all hypothetical anyway - and are about to go on your own grand adventure. You start in a region of your choice, in its hometown, and receive one of the main starters of that region from its local professor.

At a minimum, these are the 3 main focuses of your adventure:
>receive a Pokédex from your regional professor, who asks you to fill it with entries from all the Pokémon you can find
>take the regional League Challenge, become champion of your region
>stop regional criminal organization(s)
Add whatever else you like to this itinerary to beef it up, from contests, to battle domes, to having a rival, to the Pokéathlon, to the Battle Frontier - for every extra thing you take, you get 1 additional travelling companion, up to a max. of +2 to the 2 that you start with by default, for a total company of 5 including yourself.

>Ashime Mode
Pokémon no longer strictly abide by stat-based mechanics, do not necessarily adhere to traditional weaknesses, and some have expanded movesets. Growth potential is now very high but may also take longer.
>Canon Mode
You can't take anyone who narratively wouldn't make sense (i.e., they aren't part of your region/are part of the E4/belong to a criminal organization/are a protag, like Red, Leaf, Hilbert, Hilda, May, Brendan, etc.) You are also locked into taking people who are low-level/underdeveloped as your companions. They can still grow alongside you, but now you're probably the most competent member of your group. Whoever you take with you will have their in-universe knowledge, like nursing Pokémon back to health and what they like to eat.
>Waifu/Harem Mode
Take whoever you want to go on adventures with, bro. It's all hypothetical anyway.

*All regions become open to you after becoming champ of your region.
