There's a few kinds of marks
Weather/time based marks are a 1 in 50
Pokemon caught by fishing have a 1 in 25 of having the catch of the day mark.
When pokemon come to your camp after cooking curry they have a 1 in 50 of having a curry lover mark
Any pokemon can have the uncommon or one of various personality marks that are 1 in 100
And then there's the rare mark that's a 1 in 1000
There's a mark charm you get from finishing the armor pokedex that gives you two additional rolls to get a mark.
