>>44561334Yes because they were my first games.
In retrospect they were legitimately quite flawed, I didn't even notice the slowness, but I was a ridiculously patient kid I guess. It's not just the slowness either, the pokemon variety, the amount of unpolished, well, everything, is kinda crazy.
That said the games have a lot legitimately going for them outside of nostalgia. The map size is amazing, the game is long and filled with content, overall it's clear that they really were being extremely ambitious with the games even if they were riddled with flaws by release.
I'm less nostalgic for the games as much as I am nostalgic for the time in my life it represented. Being an adult is legit fucking shit, I have a girlfriend and a job and great friends but honestly none of really compares to the sheer amazingness of stress free childhood, when pokemon was my entire life.
>Inb4 zoomerHonestly man, so? Like, seriously what even is the point of flexing your age on others as some sort of rank, your taste isn't magically better because you started with red and blue. I actually quite like gen 3 and 5 better anyway.
Not that I don't get it, I despise XY and beyond and look down upon those who started with them, but I'm at least self aware enough to know that I'm not being fair or even correct in such bias
Pic unrelated obviously
