>>44567019I have many reasons, but i'll tell you just a couple:
>noveltyFirst time you revisit a region from another POV (new story, new starting point, etc.)Throughout the game,i was excited about seeing what was changed from the previous game and what was the same, exploring new parts of known areas (like Castelia's sewers) or outright new places (all of early and late-end game). It's amazing how it gives a good sense of trasformation and novelty
>post-gameSure,GSC/HGSS has a whole region as post-game,but imo BW2 content is more interesting.
Good set of legendaries found in good ways (Regis,Cresselia,Lake trio, etc.),cool trainers to beat like Cynthia,Alder and N,PWT being miles better and stimulating than Battle Frontiers (also a great way of doing fanservice),"new" places to visit, where new means seeing how they've transformed, and other stuff i don't remember about
>Pokemon distributionAbout novelty, the distribution was the best in any game.Emphasis on the new pokemons, but with a strong support of older, interesting and unusuals mons like Mareep,Riolu,Eevee,Spheal,Magby/Elekid,etc. instead of boring Magikarp and Caterpies
>side-contentIt's curious how many people always forget how even just the existance of a decent side content can make a game better. The addition of things like Pokestar Studios or Join Avenue may seem stupid, but it's refreshing to have a nice change of pace from the main game that also doesn't result as a waste of time thanks to the items you get (thanks to Poke studios i got to the E4 with 130 moomoo milks and 60 gateaus),although i'll give you that the cinema can become kind of boring after a while
There is a lot of stuff after this, for example the new OST,how Team Plasma is batshit crazy(although less interesting than BW) and more
Sorry for the long post
