SpDef set takes next to nothing from Scald and can trap Pex with Magma Storm while slowly killing it with Taunt+Earth Power. Toxapex can’t Toxic Heatran of course.

The same set completely shits on basically any Clef but especially the ones that only carry Moonblast as an offensive move (read: most of them).

Magma Storm + toxic / taunt. With earth power it wins the 1v1 against pex. If you already have big brain answers to pex or can forgo toxic you have STAB flash cannon for clef.

Honestly, the more i look at Eruption Heatran the more hyped i am. It won't replace stallbreaker heatran but the idea of Specs Heatran getting teleported in something that is afraid of Heatran is amazing because it 2hko's everything that isn't a quad resist or flash fire mons. And i don't want to bring the calcs for Flash Fire Modest Specs Eruption Heatran because that is beyond disgusting

Which is why he should convince them to do something. The fact that he says that there apparently needs to be a Cinderace retest first before anything else is inane. Who decided there needs to be a retest first? Most Pokemon that get banned don't even get retested anyway. It's just usual OU council retardation wasting time talking about the "meta settling" while not addressing actual problems. They're gonna keep up this charade until the next DLC drops.
