Buzzwole is coded as Sub-Legendary, the same type as Entei, Latios, etc, which are considered Legendary Pokemon.

Yes, and the creators say UBs aren't legendaries.

FUNCTIONALLY they're treated the same as Legendaries which is why they didn't bother coding in a separate category for UBs. But in terms of official labels they aren't legendaries.

The creators specifically referred to them as Sub-Legendaries within the very games themselves. You cannot change this fact. They could have labeled them UBs regardless because they do have unique properties from past Legendaries considering their BST is 570 instead of 580, but they elected not to distinguish them. They are Legendaries.

these are some real pointless as fuck categories for pokemon that are treated virtually the same way as legendaries in the games and merchandising
