I think the concept of a Pokemon being God is very fucking cool, and Arceus should've remained the Pokemon with the highest BST.

Also its beta sprite is garbage that is only liked by dumb people and betafags.

I think the legends, myths, and folklore mentioned in the pokedex and elsewhere (Canalave Library etc.) are just that in-universe--legends, myths, and folktales, and not meant to be the actual word-for-word history of the pokemon universe/world. Rather they show us how people interpreted encounters with legendary pokemon throughout the ages, and sometimes have a kernel of truth.

This has been the way I see things too. Arceus isn't a god, just perceived to be one in Sinnoh's lore because it can create Pokemon that have powers related to time, space, and void.

Arceus is only stated to be the creator/shaper, not the strongest battling-wise mon.

The way I see it Arceus may very well be or not be (a) god, but we have no way of knowing for sure. It may have some or all of the powers attributed to it.
The part about it hatching from an egg just sounds like something humans made up though.

This is a retarded take when practically every legend/myth turns out to be completely true whenever the characters meet the actual Legendary/Mythical Pokemon. Not just Pokemon, we even have guys like AZ running around.

Do you even know what a god is?

Arceus being able to create life from nothing is a godlike trait, and people respecting its power is what makes it considered a god. If anything, the weird part is that a bunch of other legendary Pokemon AREN'T considered gods despite their powers

That's the point. There are entire towns and societies in Pokemon (anime, games) that venerate not just other Legendaries, but other non-Legendaries, which is why I don't see Arceus itself rising to the level of being a god. Virtually all Pokemon have power over nature and human fortunes, so singling Arceus out just seems geographic rather than universal.

Yep. IRL gods are based on receding pockets of ignorance that became tradition meanwhile within the realm of Pokemon we know Arceus has a corporeal form with a confirmable skillset. Consider also that in different regions of the world, real creatures are venerated as being capable of more than they're capable of too. In India, cows and elephants are sacred beings depicted as being responsible for more than what they let on. In Pokemon, we have the luxury of knowing the limits of all Pokemon.
