>>44578719My biggest issue is how they didn't upgrade the visuals enough. They should've used the better capabilities of the GBA to better show what the original routes were likely INTENDED to represent, rather than making it exact. Things like adding a volcano on cinnabar, adding more vertical level design in area's where it's clearly intended, make bicycling road an actual fucking bridge, etc. I also don't like how they just added trees to literally every place's border, like, places like pallet town, route 1, and route 15 are clearly supposed to be in a vast field like plain which helps give a separate feel.
Other than this, maybe just tweak some of the levels and Pokemon distribution, and make the sevii islands purely postgame so as not to interrupt the flow of the main campaign and it's all good I'd say.
