I could eventually see her being a mentor figure to Ash, really helping him grow as a trainer much quicker. Would also be very interesting seeing her psychic abilities come into play on a day to day basis. I could only see her traveling with the trio due to some kind of plot related reason, and I don't mean a bicycle.
Perhaps her psychic powers drew her to Ho-oh, which in turn draws her to Ash. Would certainly have been interesting, as she'd be the strongest battler of the group... perhaps setting herself up as Ash's obstacle. How would Gary react to her? Getting an on screen battle of those two would have been great.
