Then Gen 4 remakes.
Then Gen 10 for the 30th anniversary 2026, on Super Switch/Switch 2.
Gen 4 remakes are better for Gen 9, if they do them for Gen 8 they will be ugly as fuck and have Dynamax shit horned in, horrible, we better hope they're saving them for Gen 9.
2021 will likely be a packed year in terms of Switch releases so it makes sense strategically for Nintendo to want Pokémon in 2022 instead.
All legendaries being in Crown Tundra indicates no Gen 4 remakes. There's no smoke for them. GameFreak didn't really do anything for the 15th anniversary in fact BW missed it. A 25th anniversary unlike a 20th or 30th isn't that important to warrant a new mainline game. TPC makes it sound as if there's just spin-offs.
