The VR for RU finally got updated. Something to note here is that there are no S rank pokemon, as there aren't any that stand out as the clear best in the tier

I never played RU, is it active and is it fun? having no overcentralizing pokemons sounds like a really healthy meta
I hate the idea of such a huge banlist but if it's the trade-off for fun I'll live with it

Yes it’s active and actually pretty fun. There are no singular centralizing Pokémon but there are certain groups you have to prepare for which is fine. Right now there isn’t any need to ban anything so go wild

Personally, I see RU as the best of the lower tiers in all its generations.
It doesn't have the powerlevel of OU, nor the powercreeped yet still absurb runoff of UU, while still having options from PU and NU.

While we’re at it we can also stop pretending it’s worth anyone’s time in Inverse. It only beats a few offensive threats and just doesn’t have the stats to make any good use of its utility even with Eviolite. It’s a low ladder meme

Hydreigon and Rotom-H, for example, caught on very early and they invalidate Corsola. You don't actually *need* Knock Off to break it, it just makes the job infinitely easier. Obstagoon and Crawdaunt kept Knock Off before HOME as well. Corsola was only usable as a shaky roadblock to D*namax, after it was banned its niche vanished completely.

Dragon/Poison is great, offensively and defensively. Not only can it spam STAB nukes, basically making it the strongest Dragon type wallbreaker in the tier, it can also utilize its bulk and typing to provide extra utility and support to its teammates. It’s one of the biggest stops to Virizion, Rotom Mow, and Salazzle, making it arguably the best Pokémon in RU.
That being said I don’t know how it dropped there. It’s actually pretty good in UU

They hit the same speed tier and Steel is still a better defensive type than Ground, even with the Ice typing. Kanto Sandslash is only viable because sand teams are good while not facing much competition as a Ground type

Why is Galvantula blacklisted.
Just checked its movepool and Sticky Web is still in the game, so it can still set off one and then just fire a Compound Eyes boosted Thunder, which is what it did in UU last gen.

Galvantula didn’t do shit in UU last gen. It wasn’t good in RU then either. It’s generally outclassed as a web setter by Vikavolt, Araquanid and Ribombee. Nine tales is still relatively common so Compound Eyes Thunder doesn’t really mean much anyway
