Fags in general become smart enough to realize Pokemon is inherently not a good game for competitive play because its creators don't know a fucking thing about balance and there are far too many variables at play, and go back to enjoying the franchise casually.

I just don't have it in me to enjoy Pokemon casually anymore. It's way too easy for me to enjoy unless I'm playing against another human, but I can't switch to another series because nothing appeals to me in the same way.

That's the point of having a metagame and having specific competitive rules, they restrict the variables so that the variance within the game is restricted to that which improves the competitiveness of the game.

burn now affects sp att as well as att
stealth rocks hit for 8% per switch, no type weakness/resistance
teleport capped at 3 pp
pursuit put back in the fucking game

Holy shit this. Current games not fun casually for me, so I stick to “competitive.” But it’s inherently not a balanced game and messed up competitively. At the same time, I have no interest in other video games anymore. I’m too busy to devote too much time to anything remotely interesting, Pokemon is pick up and go type of stuff.
