Just that the pairs become more similar to each other when they evolve after being traded. Like Karrablast and Shelmet, but more subtle.

Nope. If it only worked when you traded a Machoke for a Graveler, maybe But it happens any time you trade either a Graveler or a Machoke for anything.

Paras actually has Venomoth’s eyes, to the point that the comparison of Venomoth‘s eyes to Caterpie’s is embarrassing

golem is the original delinquint mon, if he was made in the SGC era or later he would be part dark type, machamp was always ment to be a hard counter, so not only is it a gay theory, it goes completely against traditional type pairing that becomes a staple

That’s where Machamp got its bill too, from Magmar.
It just took a few generations for Magmar to get a trade evolution to trade with a Machoke or Graveler.

A lot of Gen 1 Pokémon share particular characteristics or features. That doesn't mean that they were mixed up or originally related or anything like that. Venonat and Butterfree share similar eyes and feet, so what? What about Venomoth makes it seem like an evolution to Caterpie and Metapod? Not to mention that a butterfly coming from a caterpillar is completely expected. Magmar and Machamp, and Machoke and Golem are other examples of Pokémon that may show some superficial similarities.
