>Freeze 1: Pokemon has a 30% chance to thaw

etc.

Maybe make it so if you get the paralysis proc on a target that's already afflicted by paralysis 1, it gets upgraded to Paralysis 2. Moves that inflict status as a secondary effect will inflict Status 1 and two successful procs will upgrade to two. Moves that only inflict Status, like Glare or Will-o-Wisp will always inflict Status 2. Toxic will always inflict Poison 2/Toxic Poison

it's a fun idea but i don't really think it fixes or improves anything at the end of the day. maybe if there was an ability that gave the pokemon some kind of boost or buff when it successfully inflicts a status on a target

Dazed, a pokemon that is dazed will skip every other turn
Paralysis, speed is halved and their priority moves become normal moves
Frostbite, special attack is halved and the pokemon takes 1/16 damage every turn
Frozen, the pokemon is immobilized and given a substitute, its type changes to pure ice and is immune to sound moves. The pokemon will thaw when it moves on the third turn.
Trance, like sleep but the pokemon can only wake up if it is cured of its status, by an attacker using wake up moves or using a sleep/trance move while in trance.

The major statuses do fuck all stacked, while the minor ones CAN stack and break the game. Confuse + attract makes the game incredibly tedious, abd nightmare + curse destroys any wall without any chance of the enemy recovering.
