euro here, you're a fucking moron. anything can melt at a high enough tempreture. steel is weak to fire because as you heat metals they get softer, while rocks do not (thanks to the often irregular structure of rocks and their high silicon content)

Steel is formed by fire, but steel has to heat to the right temperature range to be made just right. Otherwise, if you overheat steel, it become useless, weak shit.
It isn't about it melting so much as it becomes brittle and worthless, like yourselves.

If Pokemon was realistic, steel would resist everything because anything that can harm steel would harm the other types way more.
But Pokemon isn't realistic. It's a game about animals with magic powers for kids, so it's based on what a layman's understanding of what a kid's understanding is.

What if it's because steel conducts the heat way faster than rocks, and because Pokemon are still living creatures capable of getting sick/hurt, the heat overwhelms steel types quicker and more thoroughly effectively overheating them. Biological weakness
