>>44610175I feel like you're probably not educated very much on what a dragon is. Historically vastly different shit is considered a dragon, but a WYVERN is probably the most agreed-upon "spin-off" of a dragon that is most commonly thought of as a dragon.
A wyvern is just a dragon with no front legs. Some people even say that wyverns are the true dragon type, rather than traditional 4 legs 2 wings body plan. (Because if dragons were real and if they're supposed to be evolutionarily related to lizards, it would make zero biological sense for them to mutate an extra pair of limbs.)
But I suppose what you're really asking is why a bat is a dragon. Well, what is a wyvern? 2 legs, a tail, and bat wings. What is a bat? 2 legs, a tail, and bat wings. It makes a certain sort of sense that a bat would turn into a wyvern.
