Don't like Nu-Mankey or Nu-Machop. That design style doesn't work for everything. Also, here's a hint for artist designing anything in the "Nu" style to begin with. Make it actually interesting, bc whenever Game Freak "redesigns" old Pokemon it's always as regional variants or the gen's gimmick. They actually give themselves creative legroom to improve upon past designs with an updated character/take.
It makes sense to keep things "basic" mostly when you're trying to replicate the old or original style.
