it's good because fighting is a solid offensive type, shutting down physical attackers while raising your own offense is great for certain tanks, the works
what they should do if they're evil is make a fairy type 80 BP move that scales with special defense, then give it to clefable

It allows bulky mons to not be total taunt bait, as well as give them so actual offensive presence without sacrificing their wall status. Not sure what the next counterpart will be.

How about the one Legendary introduced in the same gen as body press whose also a fighting types whose whole thing is about Defence and has an ability that gives it a free +1 defence upon entering the battle

Zacian and Zamazenta are really unbalanced compared to eachother, but body press and kings shield for Zamazenta would make things equal

Imagine what would happen to the meta if it got >>44617366. That’s off the bat it’s running a stab that hits as hard as zacian only 33% weaker, AND its defensive and fast. And it can debuff and stall out pre poisoned opponents. It might even be better than zacian.

Do the opposite - a "super armor" attack.

Steel-type physical move that always goes last; if you take damage on the same turn, you defend with your Atk stat in place of Def/SpDef.

Really wish Body Press had been a Rock-type move. Rock was the OG Defense type, while Fighting has typically been the embodiment of Attack, and Rock absolutely needed the help.

Granted, the list isn't a guarantee, and IIRC there were some modifications made to some of the things that came back between the first Home datamine and the present day, but right now it's looking more likely than not that Regirock will pick up Body Press.

What if Gamefreak originally intended to have Zacian and Zamazenta be relatively equal, with Zamazenta having Body Press which was designed for it, but then Masuda walked in on Zamazenta fucking his wife and got so mad that he told his team to nerf the shit out of Zamazenta and make Zacian the most bullshit OP legendary in Pokemon history?
