Here is my idea for a pokemon's gimmick. I like when Pokemon have split evolution paths, so what about a pokemon that has two different things it could evolve into at each stage. The first stage would have two evolutions to choose from, and then both of the second stages would have two as well.

I'm not sure what exactly would be the best way to make this work though. Maybe the first stage is a Ditto like blob that either evolves into a vague shadow creature or light creature. Then have all of the final forms be more animal like. Like it finally figures out it's true form by the end of the evo line. Thoughts?
