The whole Identifier of Rapidash is a fire mane unicorn. If you remove the fire mane and the unicorn horn. It's just a regular horse.

You change the Body proportions,and put the fire focus to different points you have a fire horse that's no longer Rapidash.

There's Pokemon way more fucked up than that.
The only problem with it is that it's too gruesome to be a starter. But a random mon that you catch about 3/4 of the way through the game? Perfectly acceptable.

considering the fire starter is mostly the shillmon and always biped I cant imagine a horse or bull getting those requirements without passing the furry territory

a biped ram would be cool

a snake would be the most safe bet but it would end in something extremely different only to not be similar to an already existing starter like rillabboon or gamefreak would'nt miss the chance to make it a charizard 2.0
