Why is Machamp's Special Attack so high. It's a steroid-addicted beefcake, why does it have like 65 Special Attack?
I know that isn't high, but it's still way too high for even Machamp. It should be like half that, imo

Cuz it was gen 1 when special was one stat. Too low and it would die causally to neutral special moves.

Machamp has 85 Special Defense. By that logic, Snorlax would have 110 Special Attack and Ninetales would still have 100 Special Attack

The logic behind Alakazam and Gengar is they were frail glass cannons. For some reason they forget the fact if they have a high special, they can tank a lot of special attacks.

Also Machamp in gen I learns only one special move (Fire blast via TM)

65 is still way too high for Machamp. I'd even argue Machamp should have lower SpAtk than Conkeldurr; because Conkeldurr at least seems wise and taught humans how to make concrete, while Machamp is probably less smart than the average Conkeldurr and doesn't seem that wise, nor has it invented anything in the lore

80 Speed

And 80 is actually in a pretty decent speed tier, especially considering how slow everything currently is. Slap on a Max Airstream or a thunder wave and you're out there healing away everything you're not flinching.
