Would've been alright as an alt forme but doesn't quite fit the graphics improvement theme.

Still waiting for Porygon version 3 to come out, it's been literally 2 decades since the last (official) release, and the only other one they did was bootlegged & buggy.

Speaking of this, has anyone else ever considered that the reason that Porygon-Z is broken isn't because the Dubious Disc is actually malware, but that Silph Co's DRM is going off because you applied an unauthorized upgrade?

Like I said, DRM. We've seen games, including Pokemon games, behave incorrectly in some fashion under certain circumstances as anti-piracy measures. Other software crash, hardware will brick itself. This is, in this hypothetical, what happens to a Pokemon with DRM programmed into it, when you attempt to illegally modify it.

What did they mean by this? How does a "pokemon" that's just code interact with other pokemon in the real world?
I'm thinking it's kind of a meta-joke about the fact that pokemon is just a game we were playing on a game boy, so sure why not. Same with the fact that pokemon could be stored in a PC. That, and they just didn't feel the need to be super-serious and consistent at the time.

As for why they stopped at Porygon you could say it sparkled a debate if it was morally acceptable to play god and create life or some bull like that

But according to GF pokemon are never converted into data and are just 'sent' somewhere (like pokepelago i guess) so idk

Really? That must be a modern retcon because the "technology is incredible" fat guy in Gen 1 tells you the exact opposite.

I like this, this makes a lot of sense. Also fits with Porygon's later dex entries where it's said to convert itself back and forth from being code

I want the cats, Baby Meowth, Mikon, and the evolutions to be real.

I like the original designs of Umbreon, Espeon, and Leafeon. I also love consistency, so I would have really liked if they kept the three Eeveelutions trend, and I think they should all evolve with stones. Using Eevee to introduce gimmicks is dumb.

The baby Doduo is much more creative than the one-headed prevo so many fans come up with.
Babies are, in fact, pointless, but it doesn't stop me from liking them. I like 3-stage evolution lines.

The cats were pure dark type. A common theory is that they were scrapped after changing Umbreon's type, because three lunar based dark-type cats was redundant, and johto's beta seemed to have had a lot felines in their dex.
