>>44630854The quality of life improvements really made it more fun to play. Menu system is much better. The move relearner, move forgetter, nicknamer are all one NPC that's in every Pokemon center. Pokemon boxes are also super quick and easy to access in all the Pokemon centers as well as via the Pokemon menu option once you get a certain item given to you very early on.
The wild area is a great concept and does allow for you to create a solid team very early on. There are even certain rewards if you risk going around areas with higher level Pokemon to search for items, since you can get a Fire Stone to evolve your Growlithe or Vulpix you find very early on in the wild area. And if you take it to the move relearner, you can have it learn any of its moves. So you can go the the first gym with an extremely powerful fire type, which is great, since the first gym is grass. There's also a Bulldoze TM laying around that makes the third gym's gym mission a cake walk. You can also be ready for the second gym very easily by getting a Lombre (Shield) or Nuzleaf (Sword) and then using the water stone that's in the wild area in Bridge Field or the leaf stone that's in Turffield to get a Ludicolo or Shiftry.
The grass and fire starters are the best choices, especially now that their hidden abilities (available as a Pokemon Home gift via the app or by trading) make moves like Sucker Punch and Grassy Glide really shine (GG is a DLC tutor move and SP is an egg move in this case). Raising Pokemon to be competitive level has never been easier due the the array of items available.Online play is quick and easy to access. Raids can be fun but the refresh rate for them is often too slow The story suffers from telling rather than showing alot of the time, but I liked the characters designs and concepts. You get to learn about most of the characters via their league cards.
The DLCs add a chunk of content to the game, but the Crown Tundra might not be dropping until November.
