What is your dream post game anons?

Personally I’d be content if GameFreak just made a new battle frontier, hell even BW2 was good with its battle tower replacement and PWT

But as is now, unless you like doing an actual playthrough there’s really no reason to buy the games, especially not for online when showdown exists

I want a new Battle Frontier, or even just old facilities in new games, I'm happy to settle with that. I also want to explore new areas like with Sinnoh's post-game areas, where you go to an area outside of the main region and the culture is all about battling and strong trainers. Plus I want the level of exploration that those places have

Agreed, sinnoh overall gives the best feeling of exploration to me

Just something about the varied climate and dungeon design is great, so many places to explore and a good amount to backtrack to later after surf and such

Can you imagine doing Battle Factory against other players? Hell, make a mode where you can enter one of your own Pokemon and other people can take them.

Some kind of interactive battle factory where you compete for a streak against a friend / random player would be cool

Possibly once a set you battle against your opponent and the victor gets to trade one of their Pokémon for one of the loser’s if they want before continuing the set and seeing who makes it further

That and online co-op double battles in the factory would be great

Why build an entire single player story whose thrust is "beat this to start the REAL game"; why not instead make the story itself able to be experienced under a great variety of different conditions so that it itself freshens itself with each playthrough?

Sidequests in every town. Unique NPCS to fight. I also want something like pokeride back so we can have certain areas locked until post-game.

BW had such a good post-game because you had extra cities, dungeons and npcs to explore.

Yeah I agree, I recently played White 2 and actually did the post game, for some reason I only did it once before

Twist Mountain was a really great and long dungeon to clear after beating the game

Still haven’t tried beating the PWT or Whitetree Hollow for that shiny dragonite though

They've done plenty of times before. Remember in RSE there was that pond in Petalburg City and if you went back to Surf there you would get a Rare Candy?

Routes aren't inherently content, despite what memesters on this website seem to think.
Any mongoloid can throw together a corridor with a few patches of grass and some npc trainers that keep spinning in place in 30 minutes tops given a map editor. Actual content are sidequests, plotlines, dungeons, etc. GF could release a game with 100 routes tomorrow but if they're as meaningless as most routes are in the games then that doesn't mean the game actually would have more content than SwSh.

Actually having to explore (routes tend to be very straight forward), the more constant encounters putting some pressure in the player to either keep going or go back, rare/boss fights, some puzzles, etc. Now some "dungeons" in the games are also glorified corridors, but that's just how it is I guess.

My ideal post game is a half region loke in the Unova games with a few battle facilities, more Pokemon, and maybe another side activity like raids. Anything more than that feels bloated or just empty like Kanto in GSC/HGSS.

Like, I'm not sure how to describe it precisely right now, but content are the "meaningful" interactions you have with the game. If you pick your randomly generated kusoge of choice on Steam with a billion maps nobody is going to say it has lots of content just because some algorithm shat out a lot of maps. Content os what you do on the maps (and those games tend to repeat a small number of things over and over again)
