Just check in the /shw/ threads. A few people do it there. Oldest I did was SR for Cyndaquil in VC Crystal and it was so painful I haven't played it since I got it. I commend you to be honest, I never got a single Gen 3 shiny either, that was always a pipe dream.

Even hunted gen 2 on my old Gold and silver cartridges, one SR cyndaquil, one wild ponyta and one ez mode shiny egg thing
Its an autism hobby i do while watching netflix or youtube cant imagine why you would want to make friends with people who do it like what would you talk about
