I bought a switch recently. Want to get started in newer pokemon, but not sure where to start. Should I do lets go E/P first or jump straight into sword/shield? Also is sword/shield fun?

LGPE are simplified for casuals, but if you've played the first three gens you have no problem jumping straight into sw/sh

These games are made accessible to the point a braindead vegetable could beat them in half a week. You don't need to prepare for anything by playing any other thing. So you can jump directly to SWSH
