The only truly bad desogns here are Duraludon, Eiscue, and Stonjourner. Even those could be argued to have SOME value.

Gen 8 Pokemon are literally one of the best batch.
One of the few generations with consistent basis on thematic design and hints to the English region.
Expect for the horrible starters.

I get that there’s Stonehenge, and punk rock was a thing 40 years ago, and that some people drink tea, but these are all very bad assumptions of what england can provide.

This is still an improvement over Gen 7, as I don't see any that hit the same lows. I don't see anything here that gives Alolan Diglett/Dugtrio, Bruxish, Crabominable, Alolan Meowth/Persian, or Stufful/Bewear a run for its money- even with the likes of Eiscue, Calyrex, and Obstagoon thrown into the mix.

Yeah, should be a mosque-themed Pokémon, a poison type with a special move that throws a bucket of acid in the opponent’s face (deals double damage if opponent is female), and an NHS themed cleric pokemon (ability causes healing moves to cost 0 PP, however the healing moves take 2 turns to work and adds a 10% chance of causing instant KO).
The dex should have less than 100 Pokémon total to represent England’s lack of biodiversity. The only part of the map with more than 5 different species to find is poke-London, which has 20 different dark types, all of which can also breed with baby Pokémon.
