>>44643265The DLC Wild Area is infinitely better than the one from the main game in terms of design. It expands what Pokemon you can have in the early game, or whenever you want to go there.
You have to make your own fun with it though, they don't give you a bunch of stuff to do. There's a really short storyline, a "find all the Diglett" sidequest, and you can burn idiotic amounts of Watts to get access to stuff for cheaper in the dojo. You can also unlock Gigantimax on the Pokemon that can do it, but that requires you to hunt mushrooms for a few days each time.
